What is Included
Urine Screening
The urine screening tests for the presence of blood, sugar and protein. These are things that may require further testing. A common confusion is that sugar is a firm sign of diabetes, which will require insulin. But that’s not true. The doctor will do a history and decide if further testing is indicated.
Vital Signs
You’ll know your blood pressure and pulse rate at the end of the exam. These are helpful in knowing how well your heart and cardiovascular system is working. We want your blood pressure below 140/90 but if it’s higher than that you can still get a card. When the blood pressure is higher than 140/90 you may still get a card, but it may be shorter than the maximum 2 years.
Hearing and Vision
There are firm requirements for both hearing and vision. Please bring your glasses and hearing aids to pass your exam.
